The most complained about time of the year

Yeah, it's Christmas again and just like all Christmases recently we have the same group of retards out there complaining and throwing fits over Christmas.
Let's see...we cant sing the traditional songs because its got Christian references in them...
We can't allow our kids to exchange gifts in school because the poor kids will feel left out...
We can't diplay a Christmas Tree in public because...um, well, OK, here's a news story about a retarded married couple and their complaints about a TREE:

BELLEVUE - You can't miss the Christmas tree in Bellevue City Hall.
"It's decorated with gold balls and gold ribbon," described a city worker.
They don't actually call it a Christmas tree.
"We call it the giving tree because it's meant as a season of giving and that's what it's for," explained Patrice Cole, who just made a donation.
The tree is adorned with requests for gifts from needy families.
It generates nearly $25,000 dollars worth of donations.

So, you might be surprised that Sidney Stock would look at this tree and say, "I resent it."
Sidney and Jennifer Stock are atheists.
They asked the city council to remove the tree because it represents Christmas which is a Christian holiday.
Stock says city hall should "Act as a place where everybody feels welcome. It is impossible for everybody's religious belief to be displayed and non-religious belief to be displayed, so therefore, no religious beliefs be displayed."
The courts already sided with the city on this one.
Barbara Ramey, spokesperson for the city explained. "Courts have ruled that Christmas trees are actually a secular symbol so given that, we are within the court precedents set on this issue," says Ramey.
The Stocks complained after a city worker told them the tree makes him feel out of place, and if he says so, he fears for his job.
The couple's already gotten hate filled phone calls, but they speak out anyway, because they believe many people feel the way they do but stay silent.
"There are a lot of people who've come to this country, maybe have been here for years, who don't feel freedom to say anything," says Jennifer Stock. "So we feel we're saying it for those people. Not just for ourselves."
The city doesn't plan to take the tree down and expects it will go up again next year.
They can also expect to hear from the Stocks.
Sidney Stock points out that to bring about change, you have to stir the pot.
"I try and be aware of injustice and inequality when it effects anybody or everybody," he says. "Certainly this is something that has been a problem for as long as I can remember."

Ok, so they dont like the tree because they think it represents the Christian holiday of Christmas. This shows their complete IGNORANCE of the history here.
Here are some points: Long before the advent of Christianity, plants and trees that remained green all year had a special meaning for people in the winter. Just as people today decorate their homes during the festive season with pine, spruce, and fir trees, ancient peoples hung evergreen boughs over their doors and windows. In many countries it was believed that evergreens would keep away witches, ghosts, evil spirits, and illness.
Here's the full history of the tree from the History Channel: http://www.historychannel.com/exhibits/holidays/christmas/trees.html

I have a suggestion for people who dont like Christmas and the symbols of the holiday: Get over it. Just because you hate the holiday doesnt give you the right to ruin it for everyone else. You want to talk about people who come to this country every year? Most of these people cant even speak the language here! If they cant even speak our language why should we even allow them to move here, much less dictate how we are going to celebrate these holidays each and every year. These people, morons like this, have tried to ruin Halloween with their 'devil worshipper' and religion arguments (all, by the way, only showing their total ignorance of the purpose of Halloweeen) and they contunie to try to destroy Christmas.

Here's my opinion of the holiday (unlike these retards, I'm willing to voice and offer my OPINION, not force it on everyone as though it's fact) I'm not Christian, I'm Pagan and proud of it. When I go out and see Christmas Trees everywhere I dont even think twice about it. It's a tree, a symbol of a holiday, a symbol that really has more historical importance than religious. I don't mind seeing the manger scene in someone's yard, it's their yard if that's how they want to express their holiday beliefs that's fine. Now, when it comes to a PUBLIC place (mall, front lawn of a City Hall or something) that's where things get touchy. Now, if a church RENTS the piece of land, meaning pays for the time their display is going to be there, I have no problem with it.
Why? Because it's not my religion, it's not my view of the holiday but it's theirs. If they want to pay to display, let them.

You people out there who are getting your panties in a bunch over this need to relax. You arent being forced to look at these things and even if you do glance upon one of these displays, then, what's it going to hurt? You going to go blind? Going to be forced to change your religion? NO!

Three simple words to help you through life: Get. Over. It.
