Well, things are finally looking like they are coming to a head out here in sunny Portland! The light at the end of the tunnel seems to be ever closer as our 'financial woes' may be fast coming to a close.
Tax refunds, Mike getting a few more hours at work and my interview for the new position went well, in my opinion, and if I get it, I'll be third in charge, for now, and will get still more hours and another pay raise which would make TWO raises in the 5 or so months I've been there.
So, it just goes to show you, no matter how bad things get or how low you feel, if you just keep at it and never give up, you CAN make it. I'm just glad I have Mike here with me I mean, talk about mutual support right now!
Soon we will be able to relax and slow down a little tiny bit, but not too much because we;ve already decided that even when we are a little bit ahead we are still going to plow on through and get WAY ahead. We want a few Gs in the bank before we truely kick back and relax, you know?
It's also getting close to the time when he and I plan to make a return visit to Jackson, Michigan to visit friends and family. It's kind of exciting to think I'm visiting them instead of the other way around.
The only thing that worries me is running into certain people I would rather have nothing more to do with, but if it happens it happens. I've never been one to avoid something because of a person, especially when I have no reason to hide.
I'll be coming back to Jackson, for a visit, a much happier and a much better person than I left. It's hard to think that I was able to improve on myself, though some would say there was a LOT of room for improvement, I know it's not true and yet I was able to open new doors for myself and make myself still a better person.
I rock and soon Portland will be a nice warm place to live for us. It's been in the 40's and 50's here but it should be warming up more soon...
