The first is this crapfest called Napoleon Dynamite. THIS is supposed to be funny? Some nappy-haired retarded kid who has as much trouble keeping his eyes open as he does relating to thinking people is supposed to be funny?
I have a video of a fat chick bouncing on a dude on a hotel bed set to the Chicken Dance that's funnier than this crap.
We rented this and waited for the funny parts. I guess I rented the edited version because the credits hit before the funny stuff did.
Now, on the horror front we have Darkness....OOOOOooooohhhhhhh....Um, THIS was a hit movie? The most terrifying movie in years? I'm sorry this must be some strange new usage of the word 'terrifying' that I have never been aware of. This is a SNOREFEST of a new caliber. No interesting characters, no interesting plot, no interesting BORING stuff, it's just a stupid movie about a bunch of dead kids and two dead old people and some stupid living people.
What about Boogyman? "The scariest movie - EVER!" Compared to what? Titanic? Old Yeller? Another pure puss filled brain fart of a movie centers on some kid who's afraid of the dark because of a monster who killed his dad. They dont get into anything about who or what the Boogyman is and do not fully explain why THIS kid, now grown up, can amazingly kill this monster by trashing his childhood room.
Star Wars Episode III anyone? Almost THREE HOURS OF NOTHING! But I have to go, I'll get into this later.
