BUMS AND BEGGERS

Yeah, I live in a real city now and that means I get to see real homeless people, and let me tell ya, these people are pathetic!

OK, I know, 'a lot of these sad souls can't help their situation,' I hear it all the time. But let me explain something:
When I walk down the street here and I'm begged for money by some guy who is holding a sign saying "homeless anything helps" and this happens 5 or six times in a 3 block radius, I get annoyed. First off, not all these people need to be homeless! I see people my age begging for change and claim to not have jobs and wonder why when they have some of the nastiest drads I've ever seen, more metal in there face than a TransFormer has and tattoos that look like something froma Jackson pollack nightmare YET they have a dog! Or even better: The couple that sits in front of a bank of Friday (payday) holding a sign saying "pregant and homeless" as if it's MY fault?!
What these people are is pathetic. NO self awareness, NO self restraint, and NO respect for themselves or others.
I have a disk man and a book when I ride the train to work so that I don't have to be bothered by these bums. One day I'm sitting there minding my own business, finishing up the Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy series when someone's hand is waved in front of my eyes. I make it a point to sound annoyed by pulling my headphones off and saying, not asking "What." It says "I'm real hungry, can I have a dollar?"
CAN I HAVE A DOLLAR?! Like I OWE it to him?!
I said "No." and resume ignoring him.
Not 10 minutes later, the SAME bum waves the SAME hand in front of me asking for the SAME dollar I refused to give him before. I told him, very coldly "You just asked me for money not 10 minutes ago, I didn't have it them and I don't have it now. Go away."
What I WANTED to say was, and what these people need to hear is "I'm not giving you money now or ever. You know of all these people you beg for money, most of them have some they could give you but they won't you know why? Because noone wants to promote your pathetic lifestyle! If I had money in my pocket I wouldnt give it to you because I WORKED FOR IT. I have bills to pay and I've been busting my ass for nearly a year now trying to make it on my own and I'll be DAMNED if I just GIVE you money for being nothing more than a pathetic worthless piece of shit whose simpy to DAMNED laze to get a freakin' job!"

I work for my money and there isnt a reason in the world why these people can't do it as well. Fact is most of these people LIKE living this way. They feel WE, the working people who contribute to society, OWE them free money and food because they, by choice, have neither. WE DO NOT OWE THEM A GODDAMNED THING.
Except maybe directions to a job fair.
