What a difference a year makes

This week marks one full year that I have been doing this blog. It's run through my opinions, rants, feelings, hopes, blah blah blah but one thing I've noticed is truely, what a difference a year makes.
I've been thinking about Aamber a lot lately. Mostly at night when I lay down to try and get some sleep, something that has been increasingly difficult. I sit in the dark and stare off into it thinking about how my life is going to go without her. Then I close my eyes and try to sleep only to have the vision of her laying in that damned box pop up in my mind like some hellish mental billboard. I've had to have some sort of music or something play every night so my mind is distracted enough that I may sleep.
I'm not sure Mike likes that at all since there really isnt 'another room' he can go to to sleep. It sucks but at least he seems to understand what is going on.
I've tried to keep my moods in check as well, it's a unique thing for me to have this amount of depression or sadness or whatever you want to call it, I'm not at all used to going from content or happy to being in a basic bad mood and not wanting anyone around me. I've tried to distract myself with things like my Comic Books and DVDs but even those are lacking these days. But at least I know what I'm going through, I can see it and I know enough to know not to sink into some lame assed deep depression, drink and all that crap. I've seen the effects of deep depression on someone and I won't do that to myself.
It's easy to fall into but very difficult to climb out of.

So, I guess I'll take the next year and try to come to terms with things and keep myself out of that hole.

Just A Quick Note

Being chosen for jury may suck, but it sucks more when you spend 7 and a half hours in the jury selection room and DON'T GET SELECTED!

Some changes here

I've had a few replies to some of my posts, not a lot and that's fine since everything I post here is my own personal opinions and how I see things, but I've also gotten some replies that are nothing more than advertisments for other blogs show fat people how they can lose weight or whatever.
I won't allow this. This is MY blog, not a billboard for you to place lame ads in a hope that people who read my thoughts will travel to your stupid site. I've changed the settings here so that you cannot do this, so there!

I also noticed yesterday that this coming sunday marks one full year that I have had this thing up and running, that's kind of cool!

COMIC BOOKS

Anyone who knows me knows I love my comic books! I have almost 3600 in my recently parted collection and enjoy quite a variety of titles. My Comic Books have gotten me though a lot of bad times in my life and as far as material items go, mean more than anything in the world to me.
Some of my favorite characters include:
Ghost Rider: Either one, only not the crappy movie version played by that old fart Nic Cage! The 1990 version is what got me INTO comics in the first place!
Silver Surfer: Possibly the nicest character I like! Very poetic and a character filled with deep thoughts!
Evil Erine: Hey, gotta have the Main Man of Chaos! Comics!!!!
Lobo: DC Comics' Main Man.

These are just a few of the characters I like. One of these times I'm going to have to post a list of all the characters I like, regardless if they have a book or not!!!

Double Standard?

You know, I'm tired of people like Hillary Clinton saying there is nothing wrong with speaking out against President Bush, that its PATRIOTIC to disent. She is such a HYPOCRITE. All these lefties are. When Bill Clinton was President it wasn't patriotic to speak against him, it was hate and lies. Hillary likes to scream she's not doing anything wrong yet when her husband was President there was the Fairness Doctrine that she and others like her tried to push into law. This bill was also known as the "Hush Rush" law. It would have forced radio stations across the nation that air programs like The Rush Limbaugh Show to also air some lame liberal program in response or they risked losing their FCC license. The problem was at the time, much like now, there wasn't a liberal answer to Rush and what there was, noone listened to so stations risked losing money or losing their station...not very fair.
When people speak so nastily of President Bush it's called Patriotism, yet when people spoke against Bill Clinton it was, as Hillary phrased it, a "vast Right-Wing conspiricy."
When Bill Clinton was President he complained that he couldn't compete with Rush Limbaugh who had free reign to say whatever he wanted to 3 hours a day, 5 days a week. Even though he was the PRESIDENT and could have easily pre-empted Rush's show any time, any day. When Michael Moore makes some lame mockumentary and lies about President Bush and distorts reality to make himself look smart what does President Bush do? NOTHING. Free Speech, Moore can make a fool of himself all he wants.
I also find it funny how every time someone criticizes Bill Clinton, the media comes to his defense and tried to discredit those who are criticizing him, even though facts and evidence are there BUT when someone lies about George W. Bush and even uses FORGED (which means FAKED) documents those people arent discredited, no, because in those cases it's not the Nature of the Evidence, no, its the seriousness of the charge. The fact the evidence was fake doesnt even enter into it.

These are just some examples of the double standard the left and their friends in the media have in place. These are just a few of the reasons I laugh at their attempts to attack out President every day for no other reason than he's a Conservative Republican who has done more good in 4 years as President than Billy Clinton did in 8.

Things That Piss Me Of, Part 2

This could actually be Part 1.5 since it does kind of tie into the last bit about morons who cannot speak English when they live in an English speaking country. This one is about Illegal Aliens!

In this post 9-11 world I don't see where there is any question that we need to take complete control over this problem. Here in Portland we've had a series of crimes committed by people who are not citizens of this country yet they are here and they have molested our children and in another case sold over 80,000 fake IDs to other aliens.
In California, they wanted to make it possible for these aliens to get legal divers licenses, they claim it was to make it easier for them to get insurance as well as make it easier to keep track of them. Now, aside from the utter stupidity in this, I figure if one of these aliens comes into your DMV and it's proven they are not here legally then you have the perfect chance to arrest them and ship them back to where they belong!
Some group of Mexicans here in America have even gone so far as to say the term "illegal alien" is a racist term. Now, I'm not agreeing because I won't agree with something so stupid but I will concede that alien isn't the proper term for these people. CRIMINALS is the proper term. I have no tolerance for these crooks who break the laws in coming here then break our other laws one they are here.
Oh, I know, some of you are saying they 'contribute to our economy' and if you believe that then I'm sure you also still believe in the Easter Bunny because that is a simple minded fantasy!
Most of these criminals get jobs here that pay under the table and the money they make, when not spent on drugs and guns, is usually sent back to Mexico. Now, first they aren't paying taxes and second they aren't keeping their money here.
How does this help our economy?
And since they aren't paying taxes where do some people get off saying they deserve food stamps, free education, free health care, free welfare? I take a simple stance: If you aren't paying into the system then you get NOTHING...except a free trip OUT of my country.
And this crap about how these sort of thoughts and actions violate their Constitutional Rights...Let me explain something and make this very clear: These criminals DO NOT HAVE CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS.
Read that again if you need to. It's very important we all understand this.
The Constitution of the United States of America grants certain rights and protections to CITIZENS of the U.S. These people, these CRIMINALS are NOT citizens so all they get is a cold hard slap on the face and tossed out like a stray cat!

I'm sick of people coming here illegally then demanding rights and protections, I'm even more sick of people in this country who stand by their side and make the same demands.

Here is a simple fact that may help illustrate why I think all these criminals should be kicked out the the country ASAP and our borders CLOSED:

most of the terrorists who flew those plans into the World Trade Center were here ILLEGALLY

Things that piss me off, Part 1

There are many things that piss me off. I've decided to list them here when I'm in the mood.
First on my list are people who live and work in America yet, for some unknown reason, CANNOT UNDERSTAND ENGLISH!

I live in Portland, Oregon, a very liberal city so it has a lot going against it. This is probably why these mexicans and other assorted foreigners aren't FORCED to speak english. Now, I know it's not politically correct nowadays to say this sort of thing but I have never had that horrid infection, PC, so I will say it.
SPEAK ENGLISH OR GET THE HELL OUT OF MY COUNTRY!
It's not that hard to do. I get so sick of trying to communicate with people in my store and end up wasting 10 minutes just to figure out some chick is looking for Snow White! SPEAK ENGLISH! You want to speak spanish? Either keep it in your home or go back to Mexico...chances are most of these people arent here legally and should be arrested on site and REMOVED from our country.

I was told I should learn their language so I could communicate better with them....um, what?! I'm an AMERICAN...I live in AMERICA...why in the hell should I have to learn some other language to communicate with someone IN MY OWN COUNTRY?! I don't WANT to talk to these people, a lot of them have horrible breath anyway, but I HAVE to, it's part of my job. It should be part of their job to learn MY language or go back where they came from.

And if they are here illegally then they should be removed and sent back where they belong, but criminals who sneak across the border is another topic for another time...
Look, there is NO VALID REASON these people shouldn't know english. I find it odd how they have money that say The United States Of America on it...IN ENGLISH...yet they could't tell you what those words said if you threatened to deport them!

You want to speak spanish? GO TO MEXICO, if you want to live in my country- LEARN ENGLISH. I don't have an "idiot to English " dictionary handy that helps to to figure out what your babbling about so kindly LEARN ENGLISH!
