Animal Rights Loonies

This past Friday, Mike and I went to get new comings and on the way back into town he noticed these nut jobs who were protesting outside a fur coat store.
Now, I'm very much on record as saying these people are nuts and so I figured it would be fun to watch these loonies for a few minutes so we got off and watched them from across the street.
A minute or so after we started watching, one of the employees can out with a camera to record these wackos and they started chanting "murderer! murderer!" and one of them cried "YOU'VE GOT BLOOD ON YOUR HANDS!!"
So, after hearing this stupidity I turned to Mike and said, "Let's go inside the store!"
So, we walked across the street and walked into the store as they chanted "shame on you! shame on you!"
Inside I told the people there that I do not, in any way, agree with these nuts and had never seen such utter stupidity before. I've seen these kinds of nuts on TV but never in real life.
They thanked me for the show of support and we walked out. One of them yelled "OH! You really showed us" and tried to hand us some of their crap, I told them I didn't need any of their garbage because I know enough about what they are doing and who they are. I then noticed a sign with the PETA logo on it!

So, in my usual manner of speaking clearly, logically and bluntly, I got into a discussion with one of them who obviously couldn't handle a person who knows what is going on so all their friends tried to gang up on me. It was a laugh riot!
Here they are, in their little wigs and sunglasses, some had their faces covered with scarves and some wearing fake fur coats covered in "blood" and little old me, looking as awesome as ever.
So the exchange went back and forth, they claiming all places treat their animals like dirt, me pointing out the simple fact that while SOME may, they are only making themselves look bad by generalizing their 'points.' One of them came up in a really bad wig and sunglasses and demanded to know why I was arguing with them, I told 'her' no one was arguing, I was engaged in the exchange of ideas until she came up and tried to start an argument.
She tried to show me some lame video that was supposed to change my mind, blah, blah, blah...

Basically I proved my point with them. They cited PETA endorsed facts and had nothing of substance to offer outside claiming I'm "ignorant." I was the ignorant one, HA! This one chick asked me "do you have kids?" I said no so she went to her backup "do you have pets?" I said yeah, a cat. She said "would you skin your cat for it's fur?"
I said "no, there wouldn't be enough to make it worth it."
I then asked why she asked if I had a kid, she tried to dodge I kept on her and said "why did you ask if I had a kid? where you going to ask the same thing if I said yes?"
She admitted she was going to and I told her it was funny how she said I was the ignorant one.
So it became time for me to leave the circus of the stupid, I had to work, and they made the dumbest remark I'd heard from them...they actually compared the fur store to the Holocaust.
That stopped me dead in my tracks and I asked if I heard them right, the chick who said it said it was the exact same thing.
I told her that THAT was an ignorant thing to say. To compare the horrors of pure evil and hatred to what happens to some stupid animal it true ignorance.
I told them all if they actually got jobs and became useful members of society they wouldn't have so much time to think of such stupid things.

My opinions of them...they had no viable argument and could not defend their position without saying I was 'ignorant' or that I 'hate animals' proving my point that they are truly sad and stupid people.

They were from the defense of animals league or some such stupidity and I look forward to the next time I can highlight their total ignorance of the real world.

PETA, one of these days I will get to say what I want to say to one of your people.

More Good News The Media Won't Report

Oil prices steady after hitting five-month low
It's amazing, if you really pay attention to the media, you'll notice they ALWAYS ignore good news, especially if it favors President Bush, and they only report the bad nows...ESPECIALLY if it makes our President look bad.

Real sad.

Celebrity Trash: Barbara Streisand

Ahhh, celebrities, those who claim to be the cultural elite and had taken it upon themselves to make sure we commoners know their opinions mean more than ours. Take the case of wash-up, has been Barbara "babs" Streisand.
Here we have a chick who made a career of singing songs that made my ears bleed and 'acting' in movies that made me want to gouge my eyes out with rusty forks and now that her 'career' is nearing its end she's taken it upon herself to tell us what she thinks about politics.

She HATES President George W. Bush.

Big deal.

In her blog she rants and rages against our President, even going as far as to say he needs to be impeached. If anyone needs to be removed from anything, its Babs who needs to be removed from politics. Streisand has made it a point to place herself above everything including saying that a comedy show, I believe MAD TV, was going to destroy human society by making fun of her and she also tried to sue a man who researches the erosion of the coast, part of that research involves taking pictures...well, one of those pictures had one of her LARGE homes in it and she tried to sue him for invasion of privacy or something stupid like that (she lost, thank the Gods, and was forced to pay ALL court costs, HA HA).
Now, this rant isn't just aimed at Barbara Streisand, it's aimed at all these celebrities who cannot keep their pathetically liberal opinions to themselves. All these geeks from Babs to Green Day, Bruce Springsteen to Bette Midler, all of them need to remember something very simple:

THEY ARE NOT POLITICAL TALKING HEADS.
It's simple: If you are an 'actor' SHUT UP AND ACT.
If you are some geek singer: SHUT UP AND SING.
What makes these people think we actually give a damn about their opinions anyway? Just because your name is Barbara Streisand doen't mean I'm going to want to listen to your blinded political opinion any more than I'm going to want to listen to that hideous noise you call singing!
Besides, if you are planning to give what little opinion your sad little minds have been able to piece together, at least have the forethought to get all the facts. I've reads Streisand's blog and found it lacking in facts and reality.
Much like her songs which I find lacking in listenability.

I got news for you celebrity geeks out there, we, THE PEOPLE, really don't give a rats ass what you think. You sit there and trash the President, Republicans, Conservatives and the Rich all the while you sit in one of your many large homes, or ride in one of your very expensive cars, parade down the carpet to those lame awards shows in your expensive labled clothes.
And you have the nerve to say you are one of us? You make me sick.
You are vile, pathetic and lame.

Someone needs to start saying these things, I know your fragile egos may not like the fact that a mere 'commoner' dared to stand up and say these sort of things but, dammit, I will. You like to say you believe in the ideals that make this nation great, you are simply enjoying your first ammendment rights, well, chick, so am I.
If you could see me, Barbara Streisand, you'd see I'm flipping you an All-American, Conservative Bird and telling you to PLEASE, shut the hell up!

Things That Piss Me Off 3

Alright, this is something that has been pissing me off for quite a while now:
THE HOMELESS.

What? How can I, someone with a place to live and a job, be pissed off at the "less fortunate?" Simple: They are WORTHLESS and LAZY. Look, I'm all for people who can make something of themselves, it's part of what makes this the single greatest Nation on Earth, but when you are faced, DAILY, with people who have no interest in doing for themselves, people who WANT to be homeless, it starts to grate on your nerves. As many who know me know I live in Portland, Oregon. By all accounts this is a great city, best place I've ever been. Problem is there are far to many bums and beggers here to make it perfect.
There was an article recently in a local free mag that had interviews with some of these maggots and of the three people they talked to ALL THREE were bums by CHOICE. They made the decision to have nothing in their lives yet this same article attempted to make us feel sorry for these 'people' by calling them "street kids" even though most of them are in the 20's and older. We are made to feel like they have no choice by to break into our cars and steal our possessions to make some money on the street in, as one bum named Nancy called it, a "legitimate business" basically saying its alright for her to steal things from people who EARNED it and sell it for her drugs and food.
In my world that is called a CRIME and she should be put in jail for it, not made into some sorry ass hero.

I'm sick of being told to feel sorry for these people who are, more often than not, just plain LAZY. I hate the fact that I have to walk past these smelly freaks on my day off and have to listen to their tripe about "have any spare change" when I want to simply enjoy my day off from my JOB, something these losers havent the slightest idea about. You know something, EVERY time these freaks beg me for money I tell them I haven't any.
I lie to them and I don't know why. Why should I? They ask if I have spare change I can tell them I have some change, yes, but they arent getting it because I EARNED it and I'm spending it on ME. I've noticed when you do say things like this to these 'people' they actually have the nerve to get offended.
Mike smokes. Sometimes we are walking down the street and one of these lazy freaks begs for a smoke. One time he told one of them he was smoking his last one, which wasnt true, and the freak remark 'yeah, that's what everyone says'
Still walking I said aloud "maybe if you'd get a job you could buy your own smokes and stop begging people for theirs"

I get tired of the various stories: I'm real hungry can you spare some change for some food? or Have any money so I can buy my wife a child some food? or my personal fave: I need to get back to Vancouver (WA) and need some bus fare.
First off, if you really need food for yourself: GET A DAMN JOB. This is one of the most liberal cities in the nation and there are programs for all these people to get food, jobs, homes, whatever but they are just to damned lazy to want to do for themselves.
Second: if you cannot take care of your "kid" then that child needs to be taken away from you because you are a pathetic example of a parent and need to be smacked for treating you child like that.
Third: It's not my problem if you havent the brains to plan ahead.

Then there are the kids who dress like freaks, purposly making themselves unemployable, then beg for crap on the street, and on top of that, many have PETS! Dumbass, if you can't take care of yourself, what in the hell are you doing with a pet?!

Anyone in the Portland area that is reading this, or anyone in a city with a homeless problem like this needs to read this well:
You do NOT owe these people ANYTHING. If they beg for money tell them to get a job. It's not wrong to be offended by their stench or nasty appearance. And, above all else, DO NOT FEEL SORRY FOR THEM.
Fact of the matter is most of these 'people' live like this by choice, and the way I see it if that is their choice then it's my choice NOT to feel sorry for them and make sure they know it.'

It's my fondest hope that the city of Portland enacts a law or two banning these 'people' from the downtown area. They are ugly to look at, offensive to smell and just plain annoying and worthless.

Look, I've lived out here for over a year and Mike and I have had to scrape and skim to make it, we've had to get help from the local food stamp folks as well as my family but never with the intention of relying only on that. When out food help ran out we were able to buy our own food, it wasnt easy but we did it. We've busted our asses to simply keep our heads above water and have reached a point where we are close to being comfortable. We have proven that with a little hard work it can be done. These 'people' are simple lazy and stupid and I have no sympathy for them. I look at them and I just want to spit in their faces for making a mockery of hard working people in this country.

And if everyone looked at them honestly, they would agree.

Michael Moore: HYPOCRITE

Ahhh, Michael Moore, you are one piece of work, ain'tcha? You sit there on your re-inforced throne and trash everything great about America, you travel the world making remarks like "the dumbest Brit here is smarter than the smartest American" and you villify every American corporation you set your sights on including Halliburton, companies who have defense contracts, your upcoming movie "sicko" will trash our pharmaceutical companies.
Yet you have no problem at all profiting from these very same companies.
From NEWSMAX.COM:
Filmmaker Michael Moore has made a career out of trashing corporations and said he doesn't own any stocks due to moral principle.
How then did author Peter Schweizer uncover IRS documents showing that Moore's very own foundation has bought stocks in some of America's largest corporations – including Halliburton, other defense contractors and some of the same companies he has attacked?
In his blockbuster new book "Do As I Say (Not As I Do): Profiles in Liberal Hypocrisy," Hoover Fellow Schweizer reveals the glaring contradictions between the public stances and real-life behavior of prominent liberals including Al Franken, Ralph Nader, Ted Kennedy, Hillary Clinton and Nancy Pelosi. [Editor's Note: NewsMax has a free offer for "Do As I Say" – Go Here Now.]
But he reserves some of his sharpest barbs for Moore.
In his first documentary "Roger & Me," Moore skewered General Motors, Schweizer points out.
*In "The Big One," he went after Nike and PayDay candy bars.
*"Bowling for Columbine" was an attack on the American gun industry.
*Oil companies played a major role in "Fahrenheit 911."
*His upcoming film "Sicko" pillories drug companies and HMOs.
*On his television shows "TV Nation" and "The Awful Truth," he criticized HMOs and defense contractors.
He once said that major defense contractor Halliburton was run by a bunch of "thugs," and suggested that for every American killed in the Iraq war, "I would like Halliburton to slay one mid-level executive."
Publicly, Moore has claimed he wants no part of these companies and won't own stock.
In his book "Stupid White Men," he wrote: "I don't own a single share of stock."
He repeated the claim in a 1997 letter to the online magazine Salon, saying: "I don't own any stock."
Privately, however, he tells the IRS a different story, Schweizer discloses in his book.
The year that Moore claimed in "Stupid White Men" that he didn't own any stock, he told the IRS that a foundation totally controlled by Moore and his wife had more than $280,000 in corporate stock and nearly $100,000 in corporate bonds.
Over the past five years, Moore's holdings have "included such evil pharmaceutical and medical companies as Pfizer, Merck, Genzyme, Elan PLC, Eli Lilly, Becton Dickinson and Boston Scientific," writes Schweizer, whose earlier works include "The Bushes" and "Reagan's War."
"Moore's supposedly nonexistent portfolio also includes big bad energy giants like Sunoco, Noble Energy, Schlumberger, Williams Companies, Transocean Sedco Forex and Anadarko, all firms that 'deplete irreplaceable fossil fuels in the name of profit' as he put it in ‘Dude, Where's My Country?'
"And in perhaps the ultimate irony, he also has owned shares in Halliburton. According to IRS filings, Moore sold Halliburton for a 15 percent profit and bought shares in Noble, Ford, General Electric (another defense contractor), AOL Time Warner (evil corporate media) and McDonald's.
"Also on Moore's investment menu: defense contractors Honeywell, Boeing and Loral."
Does Moore share the stock proceeds of his "foundation" with charitable causes, you might ask?
Schweizer found that "for a man who by 2002 had a net worth in eight figures, he gave away a modest $36,000 through the foundation, much of it to his friends in the film business or tony cultural organizations that later provided him with venues to promote his books and film."
Moore's hypocrisy doesn't end with his financial holdings.
He has criticized the journalism industry and Hollywood for their lack of African-Americans in prominent positions, and in 1998 he said he personally wanted to hire minorities "who come from the working class."
In "Stupid White Men," he proclaimed his plans to "hire only black people."
But when Schweizer checked the senior credits for Moore's latest film "Fahrenheit 911," he found that of the movie's 14 producers, three editors, production manager and production coordinator, all 19 were white. So were all three cameramen and the two people who did the original music.
On "Bowling for Columbine," 13 of the 14 producers were white, as were the two executives in charge of production, the cameramen, the film editor and the music composer.
His show "TV Nation" had 13 producers, four film editors and 10 writers – but not a single African-American among them.
And as for Moore's insistence on portraying himself as "working class" and an "average Joe," Schweizer recounts this anecdote:
"When Moore flew to London to visit people at the BBC or promote a film, he took the Concorde and stayed at the Ritz. But he also allegedly booked a room at a cheap hotel down the street where he could meet with journalists and pose as a ‘man of humble circumstances.'"
That's hypocrisy with a capital H!
Jim MeyersFriday, Nov. 4, 2005

Very interesting, indeed! So, Michael Moore, the ball is in your court now. You must answer these accusations, I mean, isn't it what you demand and harrass many others into doing? So, put down that doubly whopper and that diet coke and fess up, why would you claim to hate these companies so much yet own stock in them?

Well, honestly, I know you will never read this blog, I mean, who am I afterall, I'm just a 'common person' not someone you've ever actually cared about, right? I mean, I know that's what you've always claimed, but much like your claim of being from Flint, and now like your claim to never owning any stock, well, I guess it's time for you to come as clean as you can on this. But since you'll never read my blog, I guess I should just copy what I'm saying here and email it directly to you...then again, that may not work either, I mean you never did respond to my last email, did you?
