Animal 'Rights'

Ahhh...the nuts over at In Defense of Animals are at it again. They claim to only want a simple and LEGAL fur store closed down. In doing so they have proven a few things:
1) Most people in Portland are not willing to take a stand for themselves.
2) The City of Portland, including TOM POTTER THE MAYOR, has NO INTEREST in protecting any business from the pure stupidity of these people and
3) There is a gathering though that enough is enough and those of us in Portland, OR who HAVE the backbone to take a stand need to star doing so now since Mr. Potter can't be bothered with it.

Here's the thing, these people use basic terrorist tactics to get their way. Wearing black masks, a lot of them do this, and others wear simple costumes (simple minds) and they use threatening signs, words and progadanda to get their way.
I've been subject to this myself.

I've had these punks screaming in my face, accusing me of hating animals, loveing child porn and being analy electrocuted, I've been called hateful and ignorant...
Repeatedly I've been told that they have the right to do what they are doing and I need to "go away"
Wait, what?! THEY have the right to spread fear and lies and I don't have the right to stand up and question them?

BULLSHIT!

Let me tell you about this group of halfwits. The IDA is NOT just a simple group of wanna be hippies who have a hate on for a furstore...

These people have a far larger agenda in mind.
First, they have teamed up with People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, and regular readers here know how much I would love to see that loony bin shut down. PETA not only supports IDA they also support the Animal Liberation Front, a group that is on the FBI's domestic terrorist list, a group that seemingly has found a home in Portland, OR since Mayor Tom Potter bailed in the FBI Anti-Terrorist Task force...
The IDA isn't going to just stop at Schumacher's, no...all one needs to do is look at their website: idausa.org.

These people want to equate animals to people. They are also very much militant vegans. I found a pamphlet on a MAX train with this on the cover:
Why Vegan?
Fight Cruelty!
It was filled with the usual Bullshit about how eating meat is torture...blah blah blah...
Not eating meat is soooo healthy, they show pictures of rail thin vegans to illustrate this point.

Hey! There is a number AND a website for these nuts!!! Call them up and tell them you disagree with them and their tactics and wish they would get a hobby or something.
Although I wouldn't suggest you use their kind of language, show them we meat eating, fur wearing Americans are far better than that!!!
