Yeah, I think it's funny how people like Matt Rossell and his wife...I don't know her name but we'll call her Bertha, can so easily spit on the human race for the sake of a few stupid animals.
First there was the time I was told that what the Schumacher's were doing was no different than what happened to the Jews during the Holocaust...WHAT?!
Then, yesterday I HAD to ask Matty what he thought about 2 members of PETA being on trial, charged with 31 counts of ANIMAL CRUELTY for MURDERING DOGS AND KITTENS, including one man's PET, and he, naturally, didn't answer the question. Instead he said he no longer works for PETA, all the while wearing his IDA jacket.
I made some remark about how it's far more important to harrass a FUR STORE instead of trying to stop a group that just kills animals outright instead of helping them like it's SUPPOSED to. He asked my if I knew where the fur for those coats came from.
I'm not a vegan. I'm smarter than that. I told yes, they come from ANIMALS, where else are you going to get fur, but the simple fact is the Schumacher's do NOT kill animals, I've been in that store many times and have NEVER seen an animal get killed. They are raised for their fur and are nothing more than a commodity.
Bertha decided to roll into the conversation at this point with her vast...intellect by saying "that's what people used to think about black people"
She equated slavery and the civil rights movement to a bunch of smelly animals. Martain Luther King, Jr. must be proud. I honestly had no way to counter such an ignorant statement and had to walk away. It was the single most retarded thing I'd heard from them...well, one of the single more retarded things I've heard from them.
They also scribbled something on the sidewalk about dogs being used for fur coats. What they don't tell you is there is a law in the U.S. to prevent the use of dog fur from being used in coats and we won't inport that sort of thing.
The U.S. market dried up after 2002 when the government banned the import, export, sale and production of man's best friend after an investigation revealed some parka jackets sold here used dog fur.
"The U.S. law works because the federal ban puts the burden on the individual importers," Dribben said. In her view, stricter labeling puts the onus on the government, which isn't as effective at dissuading shady dealers and vendors because catching them necessitates regular police controls.
So, once again, Matt and his trained monkeys are out of touch and behind the times. Basically, they are terrorizing AMERICAN business for what people in OTHER countries are doing. This has nothing to do with the American fur industry. Why aren't they out in China being assholes?
Oh, that's right, NO FIRST AMMENDMENT.
I also like the fact that Matt and Bertha are so caring that they bring their young child out and stand in the cold for hours on end. Babies are so good at retaining their body heat, aren't they?
I think someone needs to look into THAT form of abuse.

Skott,
Great!!
I really like that last paragraph. Some people are so stupid and can only see the little picture of life that they are focused on. They can't see the bigger (and sometime more important) picture at all.
