Potter responds...kind of

Ok, recap kids:
I sent the following to our 'Mayor' Tommy POTter:

First I would like to say I voted for you and I'm rather upset about that. When I voted for you, Tom, I thought you were going to represent ME, an AMERICAN. I had no idea you were going to represent illegal criminal aliens. First the I.C.E. raids where you made your vulgar and, honestly, unAmerican remarks (which you have yet to take responsibility for and make amends to those of us who LEGALLY voted for you) but now you want to use taxpayer -MY- money for a day labor camp? This offends me for 2 main reasons: 1) that you would again offer something to those who are here illegally, I would hope you knew most of those who use these things are ILLEGAL and 2) you would dare to use MY MONEY for this garbage! Make no mistake, Tom, it's MY (as well as all others who pay taxes) money. It's bad enough so much it taken by force but then to tell us that YOU have decided to use it to benefit those who don't pay taxes and don't even obey the law...well, that's to much to handle. You've done a horrendous job as mayor. Everything from your support of illegals and terrorists to your complete impotence on the Schumacher case to dropping the ball on the homeless. When are you going to actually do the job we sent you to City Hall to do? DO NOT use my hard earned money for this Labor Camp garbage. If you plan to go through with this then I want my money back. I refuse to help those criminals who are here illegally...breaking our laws and raping 15 year olds.

That was AUGUST 9. Now, I worked just over 50 hours this week so I wasn't able to get online or do much of ANYTHING until today. that's why I didn't post about the 'reply' I recieved on AUGUST 16...7 DAYS LATER:

Thank you for emailing me about the proposed day laborer hire site. I apologize for the broadcast email.
Funding to provide a day laborer hire site was unanimously passed by City Council in the fall as part of the Safe Access For Everyone public safety program. More than 30 community members have been working on the plan since then.

A day laborer hire site offers a number of solutions to all those affected:
* Small businesses benefit from no longer having workers congregate on streets or impede business traffic.
* Law enforcement officials believe a monitored day laborer site separates criminals who prey on day laborers from those who are earnestly seeking work.
* A safe and sanitary day laborer site will ease traffic congestion in the areas laborers congregate.
* The wages paid to day laborers diminish their need to tap social services networks.

A day laborer hire site represents a solution to a problem that cannot be solved by tying up police resources. Looking for work is legal, and police cannot target individuals.
Currently, there are over 65 similar hire similar sites operating in cities all over the country. Austin, Texas recently opened their second day laborer center following on the success of their first.
Progress on securing a site can be followed on my website on portlandonline.com. As discussions move forward to determine where the center will be sited, there will be more opportunities for public comment.

um...I think it should have been signed 'Sincerely, Mayor McDumbass because this is the biggest load of crap I've ever read!!!
This from the man who has shown nothing but support for terrorists, protesters and ILLEGAL ALIENS and in the same breath calls AMERICAN VOTERS racists in a recent op-ed in the local rag, The Oregonian!
that's right, this asshole, an ELECTED OFFICIAL, actually calls people like me who disagree with this pathetic attempt to support those who knowingly and willingly break federal law racists!
and just before that I get this stupid reply in support of his waste of MY MONEY, these so-called day laberer camps which are nothing more than breeding grounds for the support of illegal immigration!

IMPEACH TOM POTTER. Sounds like right to me!
