Need a Smoke?

I think it's funny...no, it's just plain stupid to allow for non-smokers to ruin the businesses of bars across the country. What I'm talking about is this trend towards non-smoking bars. Here in Oregon our...well, the dipshits who ru(i)n this state passed a law, and the governor signed it, WITHOUT LETTING THE PEOPLE VOTE ON IT, and law that bans smoking in bars, statewide, starting January 2008. I've already mentioned this once on my blog but I'm going to mention it again...and will probably keep bringing it up.

What angers me are the lies we are told. Second Hand Smoke...it's NOT been proven to be bad for anyone. I've been around smokers most of my life and I'm fine. And, honestly, have you ever heard of anyone actually dying from second hand smoke? If you are being honest you'llsay "no." You always hear about first hand smokers deaths that were probably, maybe cause by smoking. Second Hand Smoke doesn't kill.

I'm sick of these militant health freaks telling me what is good and bad for me and taking away my freedoms under the guise of 'healthy living.'
I love hearing about how the current administration is taking away our rights but, really, that's a load of shit too. The Bush Administration isn't telling me I can't smoke in a bar. They aren't telling me I can't eat certain kinds of fats because they are bad for us this week. No, it's these whiney, noodle-spined pansies who think everything is bad for us and only they know how to protect us. These elected officials who will praise out intelligence when we vote for them then think we are too stupid to make healthy decisions for ourselves when they are in office.

I should be allowed to choose if I want to go to a real bar, one with smokers, or go to some pussy vegan bar that doesnt allow smoking and serves crappy organic beer.
If you don't like smokey bars THEN DON'T GO TO ONE!!! But don't tell me I have no choice for myself.

You smokers out there need to start standing up for yourselves. Look, you are told your habit is filthy, that you are killing the children, you are forced to smoke in little corrals that look like petting zoos, you can't smoke in ANYPLACE. But who's the first to get named when your local governemnt screwed up again and needs still more money to pay for sub-par schools? SMOKERS! Who is top of the list when it comes to the need for moeny to pay for poor peoples and illegals kids health care? SMOKERS!

You are damned then forced to pay more. Does that make ANY sense to anyone? I mean besides you stupid libs out there.
